Last week, I had the privilege of mastering the new BOYFRNDZ EP here in New York City at Engine Room Audio. Engineer Jason Buntz captured some really explosive sounds at his studio, Bubble Recording, in Austin, TX. Jason also provided me with amazing mixes for mastering. I did my best to enhance his already killer mixes, which I think translates well on the final masters. One of my favorite living keyboardists, Isaiah “Ikey” Owens (The Mars Volta & Free Moral Agents) also co-produced this album, and played keys on 2 tracks. BOYFRNDZ is going on tour this month, and I strongly urge you to check them out live. I hope you guys enjoy this album and will support the band if you can.
